LUMINOUS CEILINGS NOUVEL-TOWER, VIENNA

2,300 sqm luminous ceilings as architectural design elements, created by architect Jean Nouvel. The Swiss artist Pipilotti Rist is responsible for the motifs. The luminous ceilings are spread out over the entrance area, the winter garden and the panoramic restaurant on the upper floor, where the architect transposes his vision of a large fresco that floats like a flying carpet over the city through the reflection in the glass façade. 

TASKS:
Development and implementation of a functional luminous ceiling system to best display the large-scale art motifs (minimum of jointing) , covered with printed textile membrane, lowerable for service and maintenance. // Two and three-dimensional design. // Integration of 180 sprinklers, pillars and running boards. // Incorporation of 5 organically-shaped LED-display into the surface of the luminous ceiling. // Satisfaction of the acoustic demands.
